On Sunday, we decided to get the heck outta dodge. We tossed a few beach towels and chairs into the truck, filled up the tank, and headed north. Neither of us had been to Ogunquit, ME before, so we decided to check it out. It is officially about 75 miles from home and aside from the potential for traffic, it is an easy ride. We got into town and found a parking spot by a little after 1pm. We had planned on at least stepping foot on the beach, but it was totally crowded (see pic above.. supposedly there is sand under that mass of humans) and we opted for walking along Ogunquit's "Marginal Way" walking path and then shopping/eating.
Here is a self-portrait of us while resting along the Marginal Way. Btw.. the pic of the water/beach above was taken from the walking path that overlooks the shore.

We've had this thing about taking pictures of our feet at various vacation spots. We have a decent collection of foot shots.. including ones taken at the wedding! I'll have to put a photo album together at some point with our collection.. maybe it should be named: "Our Feet -- Our Lives" I'll have to give it some thought.

Here is another shot of Shiel.. looking dapper in her red sox cap. The walking path was a bit of a hike. It's all paved, but there are some dips and hills that require a bit more energy than what I've exerted in recent months. I'm not sure exactly how far we walked, but I was sure feeling it that night!

Here's a pic of me and baby. My new bump is just starting to be more noticable.. at least to us. This pic was taken on a bluff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean when I was 17 weeks and 1 day pregnant.

We had a great time. We followed up our long walk with a nice lunch at a place called Bessies -- food was good.. I was about to go kung-fu on some of the old tourists though.. I mean SERIOUSLY.. wait in friggin line, old man! Anyway.. we checked out a few stores and then limped back to the truck. I crashed for most of the ride home.. I'm pretty sure Shiela stayed awake while she was driving.
