I woke up this morning and had to pee.. so while I was in the bathroom I figured, what the hell.. had found my stash of HPTs and since it's 13 days past my IUI.. why not. I've been SO pessimistic and grumpy this cycle.. I knew it would just put me in a pissy mood.. but I had to do it.
So after I did my business, I watched the single blue line creep across the little window. Cursing and grumbling, I slammed the stick on the counter and ranted in my head about stupid IUIs and stupid who-who pills and stupid mother's day.. you get the picture. So I went to the sink to wash my hands and try to get a grip on myself when I took a second look at the stick. A second faint, but definite, blue line had appeared.
OH MY GOD
I ran into the bedroom and woke shiela up (scared the heck out of her is more like it).. and I held up the stick and said "I'm pregnant".. her eyes opened REALLY wide and she said "REALLY??" in a really high pitched voice and I jumped on her and we hugged and cried for like a half hour. Then we entered shock-mode.. we've been flipping between giggling and staring blankly at walls all morning.
We went to McD's to "celebrate".. *laff* I needed a mcgriddle. I then took my baby's momma (OH MY GOD) to harvard square so she could go to work.
I just emailed "the girls" and told them.. and I've called Becky and left her an ambiguous voicemail calling her Aunti Becky and told her to call me. We're going to tell my mom/dan/amy this weekend (yay mother's day!) and then wait to tell everyone else until probably after the first ultrasound.
